A detached building set in its own grounds in the centre of ancient York "THE JUDGES LODGING" is a grade 1 Listed Building of exceptional Architectural and Historical importance. This magnificent Georgian Town House was built around 1710 by an eminent York physician Dr. Winteringham. In 1806 it became he official residence of the Assize Court Judges and remained so until it was bought and restored to its former splendour as it is today.
